On April 24 and 25, the International Kyudo federation (IKYF) has conveyed kyudoka from all over the world to take part in the first international kyudo competition. This event took place in the Chuo Dojo, inside Meiji Park in Tokyo. The Belgian and Luxemburg federations both took part in the competition with a team each.
This competition named taikai was once again an opportunity to pit our strength against others’, as against ours. Public was plenty, including her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado.
The taikai was followed by a seminar, attended by 14 members of the Belgian and the Luxemburg federations. This seminar was an outstanding opportunity to deepen our study in the way of the bow. Conditions were ideal, and the seminar was supervised by sensei of the highest level.
