This Sunday, 16th of January, the new year 2011 has been welcomed by a Ya Watashi ceremony at the Federation’s central dojo in Brussels. The Ya Watashi ceremony is always performed by one archer and two assistants. These were :

Vlasselaer Jean-Pierre Sensei, Renshi 6th Dan, Ite
Vrydagh Robert, 4th Dan, Daichi Kaezoe
Dekeyser Bruno, 4th Dan, Daini Kaezoe

The Ya Watashi was performed with the idea of surpassing yourself while also creating the necessary harmony with the other participants to the ceremony. It greatly inspired the audience, composed of members of all the Belgium and Luxembourg Kyudo Federation’s dojos.
